Here are a couple of images of our Olympic pool at night with the newly installed bright lights lighting the area up. We have the Olympic pool open this winter on Friday and Saturdays to reduce the amount of soakers flooding the other mineral pools.

Lap Pool Remodel

We are remodeling our Lap (cold) Pool. The progress has been delayed due to the weather the last few weeks. It will have brand new tile and a brand new coat of plaster. This pool was last remodeled in 1998 (Spring). It should be open before Christmas.

Roller Skating Rink Changes

The last two weeks have been filled with some MAJOR changes in the appearance to Crystal Hot Springs. After more than 100 years of having the old Roller Skating Rink/Bowery/Pavilion/Dance Hall the roof and trusses have come down. This was quite the job as Ridge View Roofing (Rich Sever) and crew and a crane came in to take this upper part of the building down. Safety reasons were why it had to come down. Plans are to make the upper deck into a remodeled deck for parties, dances and more during the warmer times of the year. Here are a few pics of what has come down.

Fence Is In!!

The new front fence is officially in and looks great as opposed to our old chainlink fence. This looks so much nicer and much more professional. BTW- the water is great this time of year!! Come enjoy a soak with a nice view of the mountains and the leaves changing colors this time of year.

After Hours Soak

Here at Crystal Hot Springs we offer an after hours package that entitles people to swim/soak after our regular hours. This is perfect for you after hours company party, birthday party, after dance parties, etc..Please call for details. Video shows the main soaker mineral pool after hours this week. Very nice.

New Fence

In the next week or two you will notice if you travel to visit us here at Crystal Hot Springs that the front view of our pool facility will be added a nice new touch with a new fence. Should look good.

Lodge Repaiting Job

This summer a long time member of Crystal Hot Springs and several other volunteers helped to repaint the 1940 Lodge Building here at Crystal Hot Springs. The new paint job was finally completed on 8.27.2010 with just a few touch ups to take care of. Thanks to those that helped climb around to complete this task.

New Lounge Chairs for the Pool Area

For years we have spent the effort to try and provide a more relaxing environment for our patrons to enjoy our pools and pool area. One of the perks is to enjoy the lounge chairs at the pool side. The problem is that we struggle keeping them nice and broken. Until recently we have found a stronger chair that should last for many years. Come enjoy our pools and also enjoy the relaxing lounge chairs under one of our many umbrellas.

These hot tub coping tiles were supposed to be something completed back in February when we had all the pools re-surfaced. The busy schedule of pool workers put this on delay. Look at the new look of the redish color edge. Do you like it!? We sure do. It'll match our minerals that are in our water.

Last month Amber and Hope two of our Hot Springs lifeguards took time to spend at the F.A.C.E.S. community event at the Utah State University Extension Services in Brigham City. At this event their were many other businesses that helped promote the the fight against drugs and alcohol among our youth. Guest speaker Vern Larsen was there to encourage parents and businesses to step and be a part of the lives of our youth and encourage healthy lifestyles.

A lot of people wonder why our water is so wonderful to soak in as opposed to other hot springs or simply getting into your regular residential spa. We have a lot of minerals in our water, primarily sodium and chloride. Our water is basically as salty as the sea only with a lot of other minerals that benefit your soaking experience. Slide Pool Re-Plaster

We finally were able to have the completion of the slide pool re-plastering project yesterday (Thursday, 2/25/10). Because of snow and cold temperatures it's been on hold. Luckily there was a break yesterday and today between storms that it was completed. We like the tile work done to make it very much more pleasing to the eye. The old tile and plaster that was originally put in when the slides were added to the park in the early 80's had never been re-done. It's so nice now. Can't wait to try it out. Today was an absolute gorgeous days at the Hot Springs in Honeyville. We had lots of people take advantage of the great sunshine and soak up the natural hot healing waters. The family positioned with their daughter in the middle are the Fryers from Deweyville. They have been long time customers that have always enjoyed these waters.

Our slide pool has never been re-plastered since its opening in the early 80's. We are having it re-plastered and re-tiled as well. It obviously hasn't been as badly damaged as our mineral pools were.

Replastering of the Soaker Pool

Today (2.10.10) was the day of the soaker to be re-plastered. This pool is going to look so nice with the new tile and with the gorgeous layer of new plaster. What people won't notice is the enormous amounts of concrete underneath that was orginally there to help build up the structure of the pool again. This pool will be re-opened for swimmers on 2.11.10. We'll take more pictures and post them.

Yeah!! We are so excited to get a new color tile instead of that terrible "blue" that never has matched the content of our mineral waters. I think people are absolutely going to love this color with our soaker pool. Yeah!!

Removal of Old Blue

-This was a grand day as the "old blue" tile that has been a part of the back of the soaker pool wall where our spring water flows into the pool was finally removed to prepare for new more appropriate for our water conditions tile. Stay tuned for future pictures of the new tile. You're going to love it!
-Since we had our soaker pool down over the weekend a few of our dedicated employees worked really hard to clean up our Olympic sized pool in order to fill it with our hot spring water. It was 95 degrees! Nice.

Remodeling of Soaker Pool - Day 3

This is actually Day 3 of the actuall soaker pool makeover. Day 8 in total since the pool area has been in remodel state. On Wednesday the 3rd of February we had our soaker pool regunited. It was quite the process with at least 6 yards of cement added to the structure and stability of the pool.

The Hot Tubs we have were re-plastered today and are now full of water to cure until next Monday when we can officially allow people to swim in them again. However we're going to finish the top outer layer of the pool which is called the coping or the coping tiles that people generally sit on with their feet in the water. They become damaged due to the hot and cold seasons we have here in Utah. They (the hot tubs) should look really sharp once we are finished with this part of them as well.

Remodeling Pools

Starting this Monday the 25th of January we will be having major work done on our pools. We are starting with the re-plastering of our 3 hot tub pools. When these pools are all complete we are then moving on to the re-modeling and re-plastering of our large mineral pool known as the soaker pool. We will then be moving on to the re-plastering of the water slide pool. We are excited for this week to be completed in the coming weeks. Please be patient with us during this remodeling time. Punch Passes

The era of having our Yearly Memberships are over. We have monthly individual passes for unlimited soaking time at $40.00 a person or we have our new Punch Passes available for a punch pass of 10 for $35.00 and are valid for two years from the date of purchase. Sorry to all of our long term soaker membership members for this drastic change. We have made this as a business decision to simply change the way we are operating. We want to focus on allowing more new soaker lovers to show up to a new crowd of people each time they arrive.

Winter Hours

A lot of people get confused when it comes Friday or Saturday night in the winter season. We are not open until 11pm contrary to what many people may tell you. We never have been. :-) We are only open those hours on those nights during the summer season. Here are our current Winter Season Hours: Monday - Friday 12:00 - 10:00PM, Saturday 10:00AM - 10:00PM, Sunday 11:00AM - 7:00PM. Our water slide is open Friday nights starting at 5:00PM and is open all day on Saturday. We heat the slide water, however it can still be very cold as compared to a 100 or 104 degree hot mineral pool.

Discount Passes

Starting on November 15th we will be selling our Christmas season discounted passes until Christmas Eve. The passes are not Valid until December 26th, but are good for one year. You can buy as many as you please, but note they expire on December 31, 2010. They are valid for 1 year. Stop on buy this Christmas Season to purchase discounted Christmas individual one day passes. Have a GREAT FALL!

Hey! Welcome to Crystal Hot Springs's new blog spot on the world wide web. I am kind of new with this so bare with me. My name is Jeremy Johnson, and I am the General Manager of a business in Honeyville, Utah called Crystal Hot Springs. We are located 10 miles north of Brigham City and 1 hour north of Salt Lake City. We are off of I-15 exit 372 about 3 miles. Just follow the signs on the road when you are getting off. Crystal Hot Springs has been around for more than 100 years as a place where Native Indians to Chinese railroad workers swam in the natural hot and cold springs while they settled here hundreds of years ago. Today we welcome people from around the world to soak in the natural hot mineral waters that are mixed with the natural cold springs from this part of the Wasatch Front in Utah. We are a RV and Tent campground as well as a place to just come for the day and swim in our mineral pools and also our hydro-tube waterslide. We are open 363 days out of the year. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day only. If you have never enjoyed swimming in natural hot spring waters that are as salty as the sea only cleaner and healthier, then you need to come try us out.
